CrazyCatz was incorporated to exploit the very latest developments in Artificial Intelligence to realize the vision of “Agents where people don’t need to be”. Specifically, despite the founders extensive experience in building multiple waves of market defining innovations in IT and SecOps, there is still a wasteful use of human resources performing repetitive and low impact knowledge work. These people need liberating to free them from drudgery and CrazyCatz will pioneer this change.

We will build a series of unique foundational models, some based upon learning the patterns and sequences in machine data, to drive a leading edge agent first platform. Replacing SIEM/SOAR and XDR by the revolutionary combination of AIDR (AI Detection & Response) for SecOps and a novel Generative AIOps platform, we will bring to market the world’s first XOps platform. Humans will only ever be pulled into the loop to oversee the army of agents that will secure and assure the most sensitive and critical digital infrastructures. This represents a $50 billion market worldwide, and the opportunity with a unique US & UAE capital strategy, to build the fifth essential AI property.

Position Summary

The Chief Scientist is responsible for defining and leading the scientific vision of CrazyCatz. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will oversee the company’s AI research agenda, foundational model strategy, intellectual property development, and long-term innovation roadmap.

This role is ideal for a world-class researcher, inventor, or technical visionary who has experience advancing the state-of-the-art in artificial intelligence, machine learning, large-scale distributed systems, cybersecurity, or autonomous agents.

The successful candidate will help establish CrazyCatz as a recognized global leader in machine-data foundation models, agentic AI, autonomous operations, and next-generation cyber defense.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Strategy

• Define and execute the long-term scientific roadmap aligned with company objectives.

• Identify breakthrough opportunities in AI, machine learning, agentic systems, and machine-data intelligence.

• Advise the executive team on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive threats.

• Ensure the company maintains a differentiated and defensible technological advantage.

AI Research & Innovation

• Lead the research and development of proprietary foundation models and machine-data learning systems.

• Advance state-of-the-art approaches in reasoning, planning, anomaly detection, sequence learning, and autonomous decision-making.

• Drive innovation across AI Detection & Response (AIDR), Generative AIOps, and agent orchestration technologies.

• Establish rigorous evaluation methodologies to measure model performance, safety, reliability, and effectiveness.

Intellectual Property Leadership

• Build and manage the company’s scientific intellectual property strategy.

• Identify patentable innovations and oversee patent development activities.

• Establish scientific differentiation that creates long-term enterprise value.

• Evaluate opportunities for research publications, industry recognition, and strategic partnerships.

Technical Leadership

• Serve as the company’s most senior scientific authority.

• Partner closely with the CTO and Chief Architect to transition research into scalable products.

• Provide technical guidance on model architecture, training methodologies, infrastructure requirements, and experimentation frameworks.

• Ensure scientific rigor throughout the product development lifecycle.

Research Organization

• Recruit, mentor, and develop a world-class team of AI researchers, scientists, and research engineers.

• Establish research processes, experimentation standards, and innovation frameworks.

• Foster a culture of curiosity, creativity, and scientific excellence.

• Build relationships with leading universities, research institutions, and industry experts.

External Representation

• Represent CrazyCatz at conferences, customer engagements, analyst briefings, and investor meetings.

• Position the company as a thought leader in AI, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, and machine intelligence.

• Build strategic relationships within the global AI ecosystem.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

• 15+ years of experience in advanced AI, machine learning, cybersecurity research, or distributed systems.

• Demonstrated success developing innovative technologies from concept through commercial application.

• Deep expertise in modern AI architectures, foundation models, large language models, reinforcement learning, and autonomous systems.

• Experience leading high-performing research organizations.

• Strong publication, patent, or innovation record.

Preferred Experience

• Experience developing foundational models trained on large-scale operational, security, or machine-generated datasets.

• Background in cybersecurity, SecOps, AIOps, cloud infrastructure, or observability platforms.

• Experience within leading AI, cloud, cybersecurity, or hyperscale technology companies.

• Prior startup or scale-up experience.

• Recognized industry authority with conference speaking, publications, patents, or notable technical achievements.

Reporting Relationship
